Because of this, many people think that all the towns within this state will not tolerate the people who look different from the usual populace or hold different views. This may hold true in some areas of the states. But there are a lot of communities around Atlanta that are welcoming to all and have great tolerance and culture. In this article, we will discuss the best Georgia town for the LGBTQ+ community. It will help you to plan your next journey or residential purchase in the state.

 

1. Atlanta 

For a lot of years, this place has been known as the best town in Georgia for the LGBTQ+ community. It has been the traditional epicenter of the gay South. This place is home to the biggest celebration of the community that takes place in the nation. Every October, the Atlanta Gay and Lesbian Pride celebration is held here. This celebration hosts a festival each year to coincide with the National Coming Out Day. The people living here can also participate in the Black Gay Pride event a month before it. The MondoHomo event takes place in May and focuses mainly on the arts. The city is also the residence of Spelman College, which is for women only. It also has the Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, which promotes the economic development and growth of businesses and non-profits run by this community's members.

This tight and small-knit community lies across a single square mile and has under four thousand residents. It is also the home to a family-friendly and thriving LGBTQ+ community in which five percent of the entire population consists of same-sex households. This is the highest population of couples from this community per household in the entire state. It is a tiny town with a lot of charm and incredible diversity. The city had the highest possible scores in many of the categories surveyed. For example, it had perfect scores for employing an LGBTQ+ liaison in the office of the Mayor and for having no discrimination in giving employment in the city. 3. Decatur and North Decatur 

This place is among the best in the states and the top in the nation when it comes to the best towns in Georgia for the LGBTQ+ community. The town has a population of more than twenty thousand people, with a concentration of nearly four percent gay couples among all the households in the nation. This place spans more than four square miles and is one of the state's most socially and politically progressive nations. The hometown of the very popular Indigo Girls is made up of Amy Ray and Emily Sellers. The pair had met in elementary school, and they started to make their music together throughout their high school in this location. Both girls later attended Emory University and continued to sow the seeds throughout the state community. One of the girls also invested in the Flying Biscuit Café. She is also an owner of the Watershed, which was initiated in the city. Still, She has now resituated its address to Midtown. This is another DeKalb County city that is among the best towns in Georgia for the LGBTQ+ community.

This town has an increasing population of nearly seventeen thousand. It is spread across a total area of more than four square miles. There is about three percent of gay households in the city. The location also has the North Decatur Presbyterian Church and the North Decatur United Methodist Church. There are also some more churches in the city that welcome people from the community inside their doors.

 

4. North Druid Hills

This is another city in the States that is very peaceful and accepting. That is why it is seen to be one of the best towns in Georgia for the LGBTQ+ community. The city is also called Briarcliff. The town has an increasing population of more than eighteen thousand, where nearly four percent of all the city's households are same-sex. The city has a strong Jewish and gay community with many residential and gay properties. The city also has a thriving young community where the average age is thirty-five, and the average household income is above fifty thousand dollars. The area also has beautiful homes and dynamic architecture that have an average value of more than three hundred thousand dollars. Also, the place has great hotels, shopping, and much more.
